It's OSCAR NIGHT!

Okay everyone, put on your black ties, full-length gowns and diamonds, it's Oscar night ladies and gentlemen!

I LOVE watching the Oscars. Sure, you could make several arguments about the political messages infused into the monologues and that perhaps the awards themselves are fixed. I don't care about all that. I tend to feel that the actors/actresses that are nominated are deserving enough, and that the films nominated are worth watching, too.

My favorite part? The ladies in the BEAUTIFUL DRESSES and the guys dressed to the nines. There's just something about those dresses that puts a smile on my face, no matter what.

So there.

YES!!! I watched on some weird, piratey online site that was streaming the show live. Boy was I tired yesterday!

Daniel Day-Lewis is HAWT! Cute little earrings and everything,lol.
Oh, and James McAvoy as well. Boy, i'm a serious Anglophile, eh?

Go to youtube and watch the Jimmy Kimmel video "I'm effing Ben Affleck". Just put in the two names and it will come up. Hilarious. I guess it was his response to Sarah Silverman's "I'm ****ing Matt Damon". The Ben Affleck one has a bunch of big name actors in a "We are The World" type video.

I have to watch in secret. My husband hates them and teases anyone who pays any attention. I catch up in the magazines at the hairdresser the next month.
